Abstract
This paper focuses on the problem of intelligent compensation of nonlinearly appeared dimensional error in the computer numerical control grinding process. An intelligent error pre-compensation scheme is proposed with intelligent controller, automatic dimensional error measurement, and feedback information. Iterative learning approach is applied to infer the error compensation of the next workpiece machining by using the historical data. The simulation results and the real system input and output responses show that the proposed intelligent error compensation scheme and the iterative learning approach have significant superiority.
