Intelligent Control and Monitoring of Electrical Outlets and Appliances using IoT

Abstract

The Project - Intelligent Control and Monitoring of Electrical Outlets and Appliances using IoT aims to develop a Smart control module that can be used to schedule the operation of electrical appliances as well as control and monitor power usage at the outlet location. The hardware developed is designed to be a replacement for the traditional electrical switch boards. An application which remains in sync with the designed hardware. The hardware is also fully capable of offline operation and the system will start to sync with the developed iOS Application when an active internet connection is available via a WiFi access point.
