Abstract
Some theoretical approaches to understand and represent intelligent updating of the DNA program and automatic knowledge processing at cellular and molecular biological level are reviewed. Limitations of the formal linguistic and computational methods are discussed vis-à-vis the advanced techniques involved in the intelligent cell system. A framework for conceptual investigations towards implementing these techniques in intelligent computer systems is presented.
