Abstract
By analyzing modern social transformations, dangerous to social stability, growing alienation of the population from the state and the distrust of citizens to the law and Ó Петро Саух, 2018government, the localpro-governmentelite being deafto politically unbiased recommendations and advice of the best intellectuals, we tracedispersion and the shallow transformationregarding the recently developed glamour phenomenon of intellectuals. In this regard, the purpose,historical role and significance of intellectualsare comparedto the actual state of its present humiliation.Basedon thesuggested algorithm of the classical model of intellectuality, the problems of its social identification, the level of potential and virtual ability of the modern local intellectuals in harmonizing the "shaken" society and the contradictory globalized world is clarified.It is demonstrated that the situation in which the world and our long-suffering society in the 21st century finds itself, it is the intellectuals, as no other social group, who are aware of the extent of their responsibility for the present situation. It is them who have a nonlinear force, "haughtiness", and perseverance and who are armed against any natural, social and historical imperfections and inaccuracies. Without the intellectuals and without the spiritual matrix of life, society is doomed to become inferior and incomplete, and is in danger of losing perspective.
