Abstract
The article provides an overview of the event which was organized and conducted by the Department for Demography of the Graduate School of Contemporary Social Sciences of the Lomonosov Moscow State University with the participation of representatives of the Institute for Advanced Studies of the Moscow City Pedagogical University. The review examines the current trends and new research methods, features of the legal framework and state regulation, new forms of organization of scientific research in the field of intellectual immigration to the Russian Federation, which were discussed during the meeting.
