Abstract

Business intelligence refers to organizations' technologies, processes, and practices to collect, analyze, and present business information to support decision-making. Business intelligence aims to transform raw data into actionable information that can guide an organization's strategic, operational, and tactical decisions. This systematic literature review aims to understand the most popular business intelligence tools and the strategies and advantages of their implementation in Latin American organizations in the last five years, answering research questions such as: What are the most popular business intelligence tools? What were the leading business intelligence strategies applied in organizations? What were the main advantages of using business intelligence strategies in organizations? Articles extracted from the Redalyc, Dialnet, and Scielo databases were analyzed for this. For this work, Kitchenham's literature review methodology was used. This research concludes that the most used tool today is Microsoft's Power BI, and that using them with other strategies, such as dashboard and reporting, contributes to decision-making in organizations.
