Abstract

Dobrica chose for his life, literary refuge and activity in culture his homeland Ribrska Banja, Vrnjacka Banja, Krusevac and Velika Drenova. For the majority of his important literary oeuvres Dobrica Cosic had literary workshops in Ribarska and Vrnjacka Banja. He was familiar with the mentality and character of Moravian peasants, their destiny, characters, phrases, consciousness and sub-consciousness, atmosphere, the smell of the earth, winds, water... Numerous literary motives and prototypes in the novels of Dobrica Cosic have their source in his Moravian homeland.
