Abstract

The intake of P32-labeled phosphate differed markedly in the 3 instars of larvae of Hypoderma lineatum (de Villers) (Diptera: Oestridae) during in vitro laboratory tests. Apparently the 1st-stage larvae absorbed all phosphate through the integument, the 2nd-stage larvae used both the percutaneous and oral routes, and the 3rd-stage larvae used the oral route exclusively.
