Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to design and implement a business workflow architectural model that allows the integration of Web services as computation nodes in a Grid workflow description and execution environment. The prototype of this architecture is based on the extension of the gProcess platform with integration of satellite image operators as composed Web services. The proposed solution is the composition of Web services in two major phases: automatically searching the Web services - using the UDDI repository and semantic annotation - and automatically binding the information of selected Web services to the predefined templates used for BPEL business process creation and instantiation. This concept of dynamic selection and dynamic binding of Web services at runtime allows an easy integration with the dynamic Grid environment.
