Abstract

At present competition among manufacturing companies is increasing. Therefore manufacturing companies need to improve product quality and develop quality management processes to develop new product designs and product designs. The methods that can be used in improving the quality of the product are QFD and Value Engineering. The implementation of QFD will increase the likelihood of success, deliver high-quality products, and reduce costs. Value Engineering is a process when a product is evaluated related to its function and appearance. Costs related to these related functions, and differences in value, regarding the cost of the importance of functions described and conducted for improvement. This paper provides analysis of investigative reviews, and of combined methods from QFD and Value Engineering. Several international journal articles published in 2010-2019 have been. A thorough analysis has been performed and focused on this paper on the practical use. It is expected that the paper could be utilised as a future reference for researchers and other manufacturers of QFD combined value engineering in product design. From the result, we can conclude that by integrating Quality Function Deployment and the Value Engineering, the company can gain the excerpt of better options in planning or process of goods/service which not alone deliver better valuation for the buyers and users, but likewise retain the cost of goods or service.
