Abstract
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) methodology combined with image processing technology is a powerful tool for integration of geoscience information. Several techniques on integration of multi-geosciece data which include geographic, remote sensing, geophysical, geochemical and geological information for mineral resources exploration using GIS methods on image processing systems are presented in this paper. The useful information is enhanced for further interpretation and application of geoscience data by using the techniques, and the final result of mineral deposit prediction is very satisfactory in Xianghualing region, Hunan province, China.
