Abstract

The design concepts and structure of the geographical software system at the Department of Physical Geography is described. Much attention has been paid to integrate raster data, e.g. LANDSAT data, and cartographic data, such as thematic maps, into a common data base system with very low constraints to the spatial resolution, in order to retain the map accuracy.
