Abstract

Because of the emergence and development of life-cycle assessment (LCA) theory, the concept of building energy efficiency has been re-evaluated. In this paper, leveraged on the advantages and features of BIM and swarm intelligence algorithms, a methodology for the assessment and optimization of BLCEC is proposed to combine the advantage of both paradigms. Based on existing research in optimization algorithms for BLCEC, the key points of framework in this paper are as follows: (1) the principle and approach of N-dimensional model for Building Life Cycle Energy Consumption (BLCEC) evaluation, and (2) the principle and approach of integrating of BIM and swarm intelligence algorithms.
