Abstract

Modern Learning Management Systems offer a variety of possibilities for learners to interact with learning material, to schedule their courses as well or to track and plan their individual learning path. Given this advantages and the related success of such systems it is understandable that many external services aim for a seamless integration in the ecosystem of Learning Managemet Systems and vice versa. Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality applications, however, are hard to integrate as they are often times very diverse in both technical implementation and content. We present a technical solution to tackle this problem by proposing a software architecture for a Mixed Reality Client application that is able to connect to the Moodle LMS API and works as a root service for different Augmented and Virtual reality scenarios.
