Abstract

Abstract Since students can be greatly assisted by the technological advances in education, the special education department's goal was to make sure their future teachers would be Mailing and able to utilize computers for their students. Students were introduced to computer aided instruction and technology in all of their undergraduate classes. In some classes, technology was discussed or demonstrated, while in other courses the preservice teachers were required to complete several projects using computers. The researchers evaluated the impact of these different efforts to infuse technology into the classes on the preset vice teachers' attitudes toward using computers in their classrooms. The authors include a description of the activities and the outcomes of technology integration. Future plans involve the incorporation of presentation software, spreadsheets, databases and the utilization of on-line resources. Also, suggestions are provided to the teacher educator about the infusion of technology.
