Abstract
3D Full Waveform Inversion is applied to several geophysical applications from deep offshore to shallow water settings. We applied this technique to narrow azimuth towed streamer in the Caspian sea and Far East Asia and to Wide Azimuth Towed Streamer in the Gulf of Guinea. For each study, we were able to account for anisotropy as required (Isotropic, VTI and TTI). In each case, the application of FWI demonstrated additional value for interpretation and impacted positively the resulting migrated PSDM images. This demonstrates the value of integrating FWI in our Prestack Depth Imaging workflows.
