Abstract

Currently, the management of Final Year Project (FYP) subject at Faculty of Electrical Engineering UiTM Terengganu is done conventionally and documented manually. There are no integrated systems to cater to the entire process and the person in charge of the system including students, supervisor, panels and the FYP coordinators. The FYP coordinators are responsible to coordinate all the processes each semester. However, the number of students has been rapidly increasing recently and this load introduces creates bottle neck problems to the current practice. Thus, an integrated online supervision for FYP was proposed and to be implemented to solve this problem. The implemented systems will ease the tedious documentation process, create faster and easier communication and be more efficient overall compared to the current practice. The system was developed using Rapid Application Development (RAD) methods that involved four phases which are the requirements planning, user design, construction and implementation. This paper focuses on design and development of new innovation of FYP2 system according to web-based programme.
