Abstract

Summary The aim of this paper is to described the current state of integrated pest managements in vegetables production in Poland and to present the results of some research. The studies are conducted according to the methodology recommended for individual groups of agrophages focusing on vegetable protection against diseases a special emphasis should be paid on treatment, the use of natural product and silicon. In the experiments regarding pests control the development of monitoring based on system of traps as a special role. The preventive mechanical and chemical methods are used to regulate weed infestation. Weed infestation cab be reduced by a proper crop rotation, intercropping system or using of mulches et al. Currently the application of conventional herbicides is the most common. The results of research on integrated pest management are permanently and systematically implemented into production practice through the use of various communication form of enabling a rapid flow of information by the internet.
