Abstract
SummaryThis paper proposes an integrated modular equalization circuit for energy storage systems. This integration is achieved by reusing the half‐bridge circuit into the cell‐level equalization circuit and the module‐level equalization circuit, thereby simplifying the system. The proposed equalization circuit has a good equalization effect and balancing speed. In addition, all high‐frequency switches in the equalization circuit can achieve zero voltage switching (ZVS), and the equalization circuit has high efficiency. This paper provides a detailed analysis of the equalization circuit. Mathematical models for cell‐level and module‐level equalization circuits have been derived for optimal design and control of the equalization circuit. The experimental results have good consistency with the analytical results.
