Abstract

The paper describes a new approach to developing intelligent controllers of general epplication for continuous processes realized in modern industrial controllers and distributed control computer systems. The controller functions stabilization; start-stop control; estimation of states. parameters and tuning degree are realized in an automatic mode. In a automated mode the following functions are executed: tuning and adjustment of sensors, actuators and control system; forecasting of critical situations; control and diagnostics with the assigned depth; reconfiguration of a controller. It is shown that the corresponding control problems can be solved by means of the extended control principle with a reference model based on the non-searching algorithms of optimization and adaptation with expert systems applied.
