Abstract

The instability of the missile body and the large miss distance is likely to appear in the traditional separation of the guidance and control systems. The integrated guidance and control(IGC) design is an effective way to avoid these problems. However, for passive homing missiles, obtaining the relative distance, the approach velocity and the target maneuvering acceleration for the integrated controller is a major difficulty. A filter model is established in the modified polar coordinates, whose states are the required guidance information for the integrated controller. Taking the weak observability of the passive tracking into consideration, a line-of-sight (LOS) rate reference curve is designed. The LOS rate changes in accordance with a certain law to enhance the filtering system's observability. Finally, simulation verifies the reliability and validity of the proposed integrated guidance and control design based on motion tracking. Meanwhile, the design has high filtering and guidance accuracy.
