Abstract
The integration of geography originally succeeded the theory of determinism and development, especially of physical geography. With the development of antropogeography and later of the economic geography the theory of disintegration came into being, the prevailing idea being the passive possibilism (adaptation to conditions) and later the active possibilism (change of environment). At the present time the tendency of integration on the basis of neodeterminism is gaining ground. The neodeterminism takes place as a result of the barriers and development threshholds in the geographical environment.
