Abstract

This paper addresses the problem of integrated fault estimation(FE) and fault-tolerant control(FTC) under multiple constraints for linear systems of modeling uncertainty along with actuator faults and external disturbance. Firstly, the fault observer is designed to estimate the faults and the error system model is established to design parameters of the fault observer. Secondly, the fault-tolerant controller is designed based on the fault information and the closed-loop system model is established. Finally, the augmented system model of the error system and the closed-loop system can be established to achieve integrated design of FE and FTC using linear matrix inequality(LMI). On the one hand, the pole of the augmented system is configured by the D-stability. On the other hand, the robust stability of the augmented system is achieved by the H ∞ control. The effectiveness of the design strategy is verified using a flight control system.
