Abstract
Curraghs Wildlife Park has been developed adjacent to the Ballaugh Curraghs which is one of the few reinnants of an extensive area of wet grazing marshes. The exhibits and graphics at the Park attempt to relate the problems of world-wide conservation and preservation to environmental developments on the Island. A walkway around 5 ha of the parkland enables visitors to visit areas which, until recently, were not readily accessible and graphics explain about local wildlife which may be seen along the way. In 1989 the indoor exhibit area, the Ark. was refurbished and non exhibits a variety of species from tropical rain forests to local introduced predators.
