Abstract

This article discusses the importance of the integration of social management perspectives, theories and models in a field instruction experience that took place in the legal system. The article provides a conceptualization of the social management practice and its implication for Social Work. Likewise, the article discusses some of the social management perspectives and theories. The importance of the application of these variables are contextualize from the standpoint of the Office of Social Services, Puerto Rico Court Administration. The author’s voice is heard throughout the article as the person that had the opportunity to apply Social Program Administration theory and knowledge in one of the Family Relations and Children Affairs Units.
