Abstract

A frequency doubling technique for sinusoidal signals is described. The circuit is fully compatible with silicon integrated circuit (IC) technology, and makes use only of integrated bipolar transistors and resistors. Basically a two-quadrant square-law device, the circuit can also be used for instantaneous or average power measurement.
