Abstract

The article aims to present and assess the instruments of social participation in the new, integrated city management. Three types of tools, that best suit ideas of social engagement and the innovative, integrated and comprehensive approach to the city management, were established. Noting the complexity of the problem and the practice of local authorities, following instruments were indicated: public consultations, charrette workshops and participatory budget. The analysis of these tools allowed to assess and identify the instruments best suited to the integrated city management.
