Abstract

The surface plasmon resonance (SPR) method is commonly used to view molecular interactions based on changes in sample refractive index on the sensor surface. This paper aims to develop the instrumentation design for experiment with SPR method. This instrumentation system can be used to observe the degradation process of milk that have been taken out from the packaging by the SPR angular shift. This paper shows the specific design for specific sample of SPR experiment and shows data simulation with inversion method for further refractive index data analyze in the experiment. We believe that this tool can be used by the public to determine the refractive index value from the spoiled milk. In addition, the instrument that will be created can be developed to support the low-cost molecule-based experiments in the lab scale, especially in Indonesia.
