Abstract

Abstract Description is given of the psychological training given to family practice physicians in their last year of residency. The goal of training is to equip the family practitioner to deal with many common psychological problems and to know when and how to make adequate referrals. In this way physicians become familiar with the capabilities and potential for utilization of psychologist. Program development, content and implementation are discussed.
