Abstract
FoodDrinkEurope (Confederation of the Food and Drink Industries of the EU) represents the interests of the European food and drink industries and is the voice of the European food and drink industries. The production of safe food is the cornerstone of the European food and drink industry. It is the role of an industry association to coordinate actions to: (1) protect consumer health; (2) maintain consumer trust both in the food industry and in the authorities; (3) maintain trust between the food industry and the authorities; (4) maintain confidence in company brands; and (5) minimize economic implications for companies and for society at large. FoodDrinkEurope is therefore working with more than 500 technical experts to provide the basis for the implementation of these actions.
