Abstract
The Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IGGCAS) is located in the ancient city of Beijing, with the 700-yearold ancient city wall of the Yuan dynasty to the south and the prosperous Olympic Avenue to the east. Just as its location connects past and present, IGGCAS enjoys a long history as well as a brilliant future.
