Abstract

Abstract: In this interview, Margaret Johnson and Bonnie Wan of Goodby Silverstein & Partners (GS&P) reflect on their work to inspire the next generation of women through advertising, industry activism, and nonprofit work. In addition to describing their roles at GS&P, Johnson and Wan discuss cause-based advertising at GS&P, their work on gender and sexuality at GS&P, how they have pursued projects to empower girls and women through industry activism and innovative projects like the Lessons in Herstory augmented reality app, the Daughters of the Evolution nonprofit, and advice to students and practitioners on how to approach social issues with mindfulness and care.
