These include location data generated in terms the INSPIRE directive, adopted the EU to harmonize data help provide a interoperability. Harmonized data can be efficiently processed in geographic information systems and the results obtained can be used in decision-making. Geographic information systems are also used for modelling of flood wave and simulation of flooding extent. The principles of logistics planning and crisis management in GIS are used in the preparation of crisis scenarios. Planning a rescue operations and the whole logistical support can be effectively carried out only on the basis of quality input digital data harmonized under INSPIRE directive.
