Abstract
Based on a review of hospital accreditations in China,and a study of the experiences and characteristics of hospital accreditations in such countries as the USA,Japan,Thailand,India and the UK,the paper proposed to establish normalized and periodic hospital accreditations in China.They also recommended to simplify accreditation criteria and improve the tertiary medical system,while separating hospital grading with hospital accreditation as much as possible,thus serving hospital management.
