Abstract

In order to lower the power consumed by chemical reactors in the synthesis of hydroxylamine sulfate and decrease the dynamic loads on their components, dispersing systems, including bubblers and stirring rods, have been installed at the Kemerovo Production Facility Azot. This paper discusses the selection of materials for this equipment and the inspection procedures instituted for monitoring their corrosion. Two steels, 03Kh21N21M4GB and 10Kh17N13M2T, were used in the construction of the equipment, and their relative corrosion behavior and contribution to the reliability and service life of the equipment are assessed based on inspection data.
