Abstract
$$\hbox {TiO}_{2}$$ –reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanocomposites were synthesized in-situ via hydrothermal route using graphene oxide (GO), $$\hbox {TiCl}_{3}$$ and ammonia solution. GO was prepared by the electrochemical exfoliation technique. The structure, phase conformation and morphology of $$\hbox {TiO}_{2}$$ –rGO nanocomposite were characterized using X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infra-red spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Sensing behaviour of the $$\hbox {TiO}_{2}$$ –rGO nanocomposite was examined under the 100 and 200 ppm of CO environment.
