Abstract
At the Bouldin Creek outcrop locality near Austin, Texas, an Early Turonian unconformity was defined, and its associated 2 million year hiatus documented using ID-TIMS U/PB dating of zircons. The hiatus explains why the positive carbon isotope (δC13) excursion, typically associated with the Cenomanian/Turonian Boundary Event (CTBE), is absent at this locality.
