Abstract

The local environment of nickel in VSB-1, a nanoporous nickel phosphate material, was systematically investigated by a combination of X-ray absorption spectroscopy and multiple complementary techniques before and after calcination. A considerable unit cell shrinkage observed in VSB-1 after calcination is explained by the loss of F− ions and the corresponding changes in the nickel environment.
