Abstract

This paper outlines the development and processes of the exciting and relatively new sociological methodology collective memory-work pioneered by Frigga Haug and her associates during the 1980s. It discusses how this methodology was used in a recent PhD research project examining the subjectivities of women who teach drama. The paper concludes by highlighting some future possibilities for the use of collective memory-work for the advancement of research in drama education.
