Abstract
In the audio visual recording of memories from political conflict, I look at how memory finds a narrative, how that is informed by location, how the participants perform while being recorded, how ownership of material influences authorship and who the audiences are for these testimonies. Inside Stories, the example that I use in this essay, contains the stories of three former occupants of the Long Kesh/Maze prison comlplex in the North of Ireland.
