Abstract

Mesoporous silica-based nanoparticles, including silica, organosilica and metal doped silica and organosilica nanoparticles, have widespread applications in biomedical applications. This review summarizes the applications of mesoporous silica-based nanoparticles in the field of cancer immunotherapy. Strategies to regulate the tumour microenvironment for immune activation are presented by highlighting the structural and compositional attributes of the silica-based nanoparticles.
