Abstract

A novel ARF‐OCE system based on a ultrasmall ultrasound transducer is presented for in vivo rabbit corneal biomechanics evaluation. This is the smallest ultrasound transducer reported in the literature for nondestructive mechanical excitation of cornea. The biomechanics of healthy corneas, keratoconus, and CXL procedures were evaluated, and the results demonstrate that ARF‐OCE can evaluate the effects of different surgical protocols on corneal biomechanics. This suggests that proposed ARF‐OCE has good clinical translation potential. For further details please visit the article by Yirui Zhu, Yanzhi Zhao, Jiulin Shi, Tomas E.
