Abstract

The activity of Au‐CeO2 catalyst for the water gas shift reaction is susceptible to the aggregation size and electronic state of Au species while understanding the authentic role of the isolated Au atoms was limited. In this work, by in‐situ Raman and in‐situ DRIFTS, Au atoms were uncovered to be responsible for enhancing the reducibility of the CeO2 matrix, which improved the H2O activation ability of catalysts. More details are discussed in the article by Jia et al. on page 636—644.image
