Abstract

The inside cover picture shows that in situ electrochemical atomic force microscopy is performed to clarify the correlation between the decomposition behavior of toroidal lithium peroxide (Li2O2) and the charging rate in a working Li‐O2 battery. In situ observation reveals that a low charge rate promotes the decomposition of toroidal Li2O2 sufficiently, while a larger charge rate accelerates the decomposition occurring at the Li2O2/electrode interface, causing the irreversible capacity degradation.
