Abstract

Diketopyrrolopyrroles (DPPs) are widely used as building blocks for organic optoelectronic materials. In their Research Article on page 10700, Deqing Zhang and co-workers report a new synthetic method toward both N-aryl DPPs and π-expanded DPPs. These new DPP molecules show promising light-emitting and semiconducting properties, demonstrating their usefulness for the development of high-performance organic optoelectronic materials.
