Abstract

Synchronous and efficient utilization of photogenerated electrons and holes is a challenging task in the field of photocatalysis. In their Research Article on page 4815, Baojiang Jiang, Honggang Fu, and co-workers describe the synthesis of ultrathin porous carbon nitride bundles for simultaneous solar photocatalytic water splitting and selective phenylcarbinol oxidation. The bundles have adjustable band gaps (2.25–2.75 eV) and hollow microtubes with ultrathin pore walls.
