Abstract

The cover displays four novel norsesquiterpenoids, anisotanols A—D, isolated from the roots of Anisodus tanguticus. They possess an unprecedented sesquiterpenoid skeleton with a congested tricyclic 6/3/5 ring system, which is like a butterfly. Their structures were unambiguously elucidated by spectroscopic techniques and X‐ray crystallography. Among them, anisotanol C showed anti‐angiogenic activity by inhibiting the viability, migration, and tube formation in HUVECs.
