Abstract

Peptide-oligonucleotide conjugates (POC) were used for the self-assembly of miniature coiled-coil α-helical peptides guided by oligonucleotide duplex and triplex formation. The POC consisted of three oligonucleotides each with a 23-mer peptide attached. The oligonucleotide domains gave a parallel triplex that templated the peptides to form a small coiled-coil motif with high degree of α-helicity. Cooperativity was observed between the trimeric peptide and the oligonucleotide triplex domains. More information can be found in the Full Paper by J. Wengel et al. on page 9297.
