Abstract

This article aims to publicize the use of ultrasound by obstetric nurses during prenatal consultations with Xavante indigenous women, which has provided results with minimal errors and offered unprecedented quality to the population using this service. This is a descriptive and exploratory study, approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Mato Grosso, with opinion 5.509.452. It is concluded that implementing ultrasound in the Xavante indigenous territory, in the prenatal care developed by the obstetric nurse will provide better indicators and produce actions for the quality and humanization of care.
