Abstract
While illustrating insertion loss synthesis with equal terminations, textbooks usually cite the example of a low-pass filter with all transmission zeros at infinity, or that of a high-pass filter with all transmission zeros at the origin. The problem that arises in realizing an equally terminated band-pass filter, with transmission zeros at infinity as well as at the origin, has been highlighted in this paper, along with its solution.
